Queste auto, definite Bisiluri per la loro caratteristica forma, portano il nome del loro leggendario inventore: Tarf. Quell'uomo è Piero Taruffi. Egli inventa, costruisce, testa su strada personalmente, da essa apprende e modifica, migliora evolve. Questa sua capacità e caparbietà alimentate dalla fame di superare se stessi e i propri limiti faranno sì che il Tarf I venga costantemente evoluto e poi sostituito dall'erede Tarf II al quale spetta la stessa sorte. Questi veicoli sono in grado di raggiungere e superare i 300km/h facendo segnare il record di auto più veloce al mondo. Tutto ciò su autostrade e strade extraurbane normalmente aperte al traffico, tra gli anni '40 e '50. Insomma una storia epica di auto leggendarie e di un genio, ancor prima che pilota, straordinario.

🇬🇧 The story of an exceptional driver, an engineer actually, who became a driver almost by chance. Here, however, we are not talking about his victories but about his inventions, two vehicles that would lead him to break countless records. These cars, called Bisiluri (lit. Double Torpedos or Bitorpedos) because of their characteristic shape, bear the name of their legendary inventor: Tarf. That man is Piero Taruffi. He invented, built, tested on the road himself, learned from it, he modifies, improves, and evolves. His ability and determination, fueled by a hunger to surpass himself and his own limits, meant that the Tarf I was constantly evolved and then replaced by its successor, the Tarf II, which met the same fortune. These vehicles were capable of reaching and exceeding 300 km/h, setting the record for the fastest car in the world. All this on highways and suburban roads normally open to traffic, between the 1940s and 1950s. In essence, it’s an epic story of legendary cars and an extraordinary genius, even before he was a driver.
