It’s #WeatherWednesday!☁️ Today we’re looking at undulatus asperatus clouds. I know, I know it sounds made up or even a spell from Harry Potter, but these are real!
There’s quite a bit of speculation on how these clouds form. They haven’t been around very long and actually became official in 2015. Making them one of our newest cloud types in recent times!🤯
One of the theories as to how the clouds form is from turbulent skies around thunderstorms. That would explain how they make almost ocean-like waves in the sky🌊
