GoPro High Altitude Weather Balloon Launch

Описание: This is video of our high altitude balloon (weather balloon) launch that took place in Honeoye, NY just outside of the Rochester New York area. The flight traveled to an altitude of 102,544 FT. and landed just outside of the Syracuse, NY area. This video shows the launch and first few minutes aloft. The launch gets off with a running start due to some high winds that were pulling on the balloon so we had to ensure that the payload was beneath the atmospheric balloon when we released it so it wouldn't swing and bounce off the ground. Pauses in the telemetry overlay are due to the data collector pausing while it sends a radio transmission to report its position back to us on the ground.
