Frequency Shifting at low SOC. A home-made problem turned into an interesting and efficient feature.

Описание: Victron Frequency Shifting is a cool feature. It increases the frequency to slow down charging from an AC-Inverter when the battery gets full. Well, at least that is what we have seen so far. For a few weeks now, I could observe that the frequency already increased when the SOC was low as 40%. Instead of feeding this AC power through the Multiplus to charge the battery, it got basically wasted. And I did not understand what is going on. Until... yeah, until I found out, the system is exactly doing what I have told it to do! Yes, you can call this operator error🙃

And this mechanic makes a lot of sense if we look at how energy is traveling through the system. It basically ensures the most efficient way of using our precious solar power.
Isn't that clever!?
