Billy has been at GitHub for the past two years, working in Product and now in Engineering, managing the GitHub Desktop and GitHub CLI teams. He started his career in the U.S. Navy serving as a Surface Warfare Officer. Since leaving the Navy in 2013, he cofounded a company, Base Directory, helping service members and their families find information on U.S. military bases. Immediately prior to joining GitHub, Billy spent two years at 18F helping the federal government build more user-friendly websites and applications. He lives in Denver, Colorado, and loves the mountains and nature.
