Investing Truth Tellers is a series focusing on the people in the investing community who provide real investing advice and share their expertise to benefit the average investor – DIY, beginners, passive, and long-term investors. In the first episode of the series, Professor Kenneth French (Ken French) explains why lower economic growth may not hinder future stock returns and investors should continue to invest during the “New Normal.” The video shows an interview reflecting on the 2008 Financial Crisis; however, Ken French’s advice is applicable to the current 2020 recession. Beginner and seasoned investors are often emotional due to media news which encourage trading to profit Wall Street. The goal of the Investing Truth Tellers series is to highlight the objective facts – often coming from academics – to help the investing community get their fair share of the market.
