Bezinky – Som zaľúbená [electro disco, Slovakia 1982]

Описание: This is the last released Slovak song from Czech vocal group “Bezinky”. They recorded a huge amount of Slovak songs between 1974-1982, often also worked as backing vocalists for another Slovak interprets. No doubt, that “Bezinky” covered the whole time of disco era in Czechoslovakia, they were even main leaders of this style. “Bezinky” recorded first Czechoslovak (Slovak) disco song in 1975 “Jarná impresia” and they closed their Slovak career with this heavily synthesized disco song “Som zaľúbená”. By accident, composer of both songs is Ali Brezovský. This song still contains classic disco “funk/soul” elements (acoustic musical instruments), but it generally has many similarities with early synth-pop songs. The “four-on-the-floor beat” is not as notable as it is in classic disco, most of the rhythmical beats is given by synthesizers. This song stands somewhere on the cross between disco and synth-pop. Also, the melody has more common with classic pop than with Afro-American soul-based disco music. “Som zaľúbená” is a very impressive mainstream Slovak song from the beginning of the 1980´s. Unfortunately, it was released only on the LP compilation “Diskotéka Opusu 9” from the series “Dvanásť do tucta”. This serie was created as a compilation of some chosen songs from the production of Czechoslovak radio in Bratislava or Czechoslovak television in Bratislava between 1978 and 1983, but most of them were manufactured in small amount only, so they are hard to see/hear today. That’s also the reason why this song is today completely forgotten.
