A guitar with a Chartreuse Sparkle finish has to have a big personality to match the paint job, and this ’59 Duo Jet fits the bill! This guitar has MASSIVE bass response—think Neil Young’s grungier electric tones—and it makes the ground shake when you palm-mute. Above that big ‘ol bottom end, the low-midrange has a round, woody character to it, and the upper-midrange has a lifetime supply of quack and snarl. The trebles have a lush, airy quality to them, but when you play hard you can get some beautiful natural ompression and jangle as well. The bridge pickup has tighter bass response and a little more note bloom in the aforementioned trebles, while the neck pickup is fatter-sounding in the lows and drier in the highs.
