I provided RMW with both Paul's version and Fireska's version that is less known and rarer. He decided to use the Fireska version because "the other set is ruined by noise reduction. If only the people who don't know what they're doing with FFT noise reduction would realize that it says "noise REDUCTION" and not "noise ELIMINATION" then their work would sound much better. Those (studio version) demos are useless."

Here it is an explanation of the whole process: "The speed on most of the tracks was pretty close, only a tiny bit fast, and a couple were just a hair fast. All fixed now. I undid the clipping and restored the original dynamics and channel balances. Only a few of the tracks needed some bass EQ, the rest were fine. The phase of each track was corrected. Each track has 3 seconds of silence after it. All you need to do is burn them to CD, either directly from FLAC, if your CD writing software will convert it, or convert the FLAC files to .wav and burn them in order. As a matter of fact, the Sawmills demos will fit on the end of this program, with lots of room left over. So before anyone commits to doing artwork, we can just make this a 1 CD issue (RMW 695), with the Newton Abbott demos and Sawmills demos. I have made two versions of "Ashamed," one with no gap (it's the last track), for those who want to make 2 CDs, and one with a 5 second gap, for those who want to put the Sawmills demos on the end."
