This level has a new theme going for it: Ruins.
Looks like at the beginning, there's an alternate route that eventually leads to the main path, I guess it contains its own crates, so I won't focus on getting the Gem towards that right now.
This level is another one with a Skull Route. Don't be too reckless on its platform, because you can still do everything on it, including falling off of it.
Make sure you get the Crystal ahead before you ride the Skull Route platform, or you'll have to backtrack after the end of the route to get both treasures in one sitting. Either that, or waste a life after you get the challenge Gem.
