Edwards Les Paul E-LP-120 CD/FM - Joe Perry Project Guitar Lesson
Guitar lesson for the song "Shooting Star" from the first Joe Perry Project album "Let the Music do the Talking".
Now, this tune sounds like it should be in open G tuning, going by the chords being played and the slides between them but, and it's a Big Butt (lol), there is an open E string pedal tone going on - and I have a bootleg of the Project where you can hear Joe tuning his bottom E string, to an E in concert pitch. So, all that being said, I've done this lesson in standard tuning, which is how I play it. I'd be interested to see someone doing it in open G (or maybe it's open E?), which may well be correct.
