Hear My Voice by Amanda Pascali

Описание: Our second visit to the Pablo Center’s 715 Series did not disappoint. The weather held off the snowstorm until Saturday; so Wednesday night was clear sailing. This is how Amanda was described:

Amanda Pascali embodies the complexity of modern identity. Born to a mother from Cairo who grew up in France and an Italian father raised in Romania, she's a mixed-race, bilingual Gen Z troubadour perpetually caught between worlds. Quoting poet Ijeoma Umebinyuo, she says, “I’m often ‘too foreign for here, too foreign for home, and never enough for both.’” Rather than lamenting this displacement, Pascali has transformed it into her artistic superpower.

Now for me, she harkens back memories of the pandemic when I was helping the Great River Folk Fest do its Songwriting contest on line. She was in the first week of submissions and her song “Hey Amorino” just blew me away. I’ve been following her career ever since, and her last album went vinyl and it was in my Dave’s Dozen top albums for 2025.

She no stranger to the blog being in it ten times so far. Plus she went a little viral with her video Cu Ti Lu Dissi video cresting over 211k views and she has a whopping 9.67K subscribers. Add to her list here    / @amandapascali  

While my wife Lori knew her music a little she was wowed by the night and left with a T-Shirt; and me well I own all her music but I did get a nice little hug. Truly I forgot how much I loved Uccellino, Temporary Home, and Over the Sea and asked her if she could put out compilation vinyl of her back catalog. (Almost said older like three years ago…ha)

She was joined that night by Addison Freeman on Mandolin and Fiddle and straight from Sicily Gabriele Bazza on lead guitar.

With her being way down in TX, I’m not sure how many times I’ll get a chance to see her live; so it was so worth the 90 minute drive and hotel costs. Plus I had a $100 gift certificate to spend at Revival Records. So follow the Pablo Center and try out these spots; we give them Two BIG Thumbs UP. I also included the other great vinyl record store The Abrades, which we passed on after I had $136 worth of music to listen to from this trip.
