It's now been two episodes since we picked-up the motorhome from Wilderness http://bit.ly/KYD-Wilderness and now we're in full swing of Freedom Camping. We've noticed that there’s a difference between travel and vacation. Vacations are a break, often spent at a hotel while eating out and being served on. A chance to unwind. Whereas travel is more about the journey, adventure and exploration. For the most part, RV travel is not a vacation, despite what it looks like! However, this week in Kaiterteri we felt like we were on vacation. Why? First of all, we were at the premiere vacation spot for Kiwi’s. Locals of New Zealand book their sites at Kaiteriteri a year in advance and we were lucky to call the day of and get a site. Secondly, it’s summer in New Zealand and kids are out of school from Dec to Feb so there were kids (and teens) everywhere. Carson and Caleb made friends straight away and we hardly saw them for two days! If you have kids, Kaiterteri should be on your list to visit during summer!
