An Odia youth named P. Venkataramana has been abducted in Mali, West Africa, and is reportedly under the custody of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. He is one of the three Indian nationals kidnapped in the region, triggering deep concern in India. His native place has been identified as Samarjhola village under Hinjilicut in Ganjam district, Odisha.
