Restaurant Style Basic Indian Gravy | How to make Basic Indian Gravy | All Purpose Gravy Recipe
Learn how to make Basic Indian Gravy (Curry) when you don’t have the time to go through every step, every day! This recipe is really easy and the gravy is freezer friendly so it can be stored for later use. Freeze it in jars or zip locks or freezer friendly containers !!
It’s perfect for all sorts of deliciousness: paneer makhani, murgh (chicken) makhani, paneer butter masala, chicken butter masala, veg makhani or even egg makhani if you are into that kind of thing. But of course you need to add some spices and fresh cream when you are making them. This basically works for everything except dal makhani.
Make it on the day when you don’t have much cooking to do, as it took me total 1 hour to make this Gravy, but it’s worth it !!

Ingredients :
1 kg Onions (roughly chopped)
750 gms Tomatoes (roughly chopped)
300 ml Oil
1 tsp Caraway Seeds (Shahi Jeera)
3 tsp Fennel Seeds (saunf)
1 tbsp Salt
75 gms Garlic (skin peeled)
40 gms Ginger (skin peeled & roughly chopped)
6 nos. Green Chillies ( or as per requirement)
100 gms Cashews (broken into pieces)
100 gms Melon Seeds (magaz)
1 tbsp Sugar (to balance the sourness)
Water wherever required
