Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter, between them, changed British theatre forever in the 1950s - Beckett with Waiting For Godot and Pinter with plays such as The Homecoming and The Caretaker. Here they come together, with Pinter playing the title role of Beckett's 1958 play, in which an old man plays tapes of himself recorded on his 39th birthday.
This was first broadcast in 2007, a year before Pinter's death at the age of 78.
From Wikipedia: "As part of the 50th anniversary season of the Royal Court Theatre, in October 2006, directed by Ian Rickson, English playwright Harold Pinter performed the role of Krapp in a sold-out limited run of nine performances to great critical acclaim; a performance of this production was broadcast on BBC Four. In this production, Krapp is confined to a motorized wheelchair and the banana business at the beginning is cut; Krapp also uses two tape machines, one to listen to his past recording and the other to record his new tape."
