Titles read: "THE KING WITH HIS FLEET".
Weymouth, Dorset.
King George VI (Prince Albert, Duke of York) boards the Royal Barge with the Duke of Kent (Prince George) and Lord Louis Mountbatten and travels over Weymouth Bay to the flagship HMS Nelson. The King is piped aboard then the warship leaves for sea. The King watches manoeuvres through binoculars from the ship; a direct hit on the tail of radio-controlled aircraft Queen Bee sends the plane crashing down towards the sea.
The King leaves the ship to attend a concert given aboard HMS Courageous. Various shots with natural sound show the King taking his seat in the concert hall and hundreds of sailors in white singing a traditional song to orchestral accompaniment. Another act shows 6 men in drag (dressed as fairies) prancing about and singing a silly song. Brief cutaways shows the King clapping. King George makes a short speech thanking all the men and wishing them goodnight. The audience of Naval men give three cheers.
