Stop Working for CVS and Amazon

Why do people keep working for companies that constantly lay off employees? I see CVS and Amazon in the news every few months, hiring tons of people, only to lay them off shortly after. The cycle repeats, leaving workers exhausted, with no unemployment benefits, and struggling to find a job again. If the only reason people work at these places is because there are no other jobs, I get it. But if you have other options, why go back to a company that doesn’t value its workers?
CVS and Amazon don’t seem to care about employees, and the constant hiring and firing proves it. Working there only puts you in a tough spot: you’ll face brief unemployment, drained finances, and a damaged resume. I understand if you’re at a point where any job is necessary, but otherwise, don’t fall into this cycle. It’s just not worth the few extra dollars or slight benefits they might offer. Constantly dealing with companies that treat you poorly will only hurt your sanity. A bad quarter or the end of a product launch shouldn’t lead to you getting laid off. Let me know your thoughts on this—do you think I’m wrong?
