Описание: IBBF is a Federation of the Body Builders, by the Body Builders and for the Body Builders. The IBBF was formed to propagate and popularize the sport of Bodybuilding in India. The IBBF is recognized as the only National Sports Federation for the sport of Bodybuilding in India by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and is also recognized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the National Anti-doping Agency (NADA).
The IBBF today has 31 State Associations affiliated to it along with Government Sports Control Boards like the Indian Railways Sports Control Board, Central Civil Services, Cultural, and Sports Board, Ordnance Factory Sports Promotion Board, Major Port Sports Control Board, and Services Sports Control Board. There are more than 5000 athletes (Men and Women) registered with the IBBF. All the above said Sports Control Board have extended facilities like recruitment, promotional incentives in Government Bodies and eligibility for National Sports Awards for the Athletes participating in the competitions organized, conducted and managed by Indian Body Builders Federation.
The Executive Committee of IBBF boasts of many illustrious and prominent personalities in the field of Bodybuilding. To name a few, Shri Madhukarji Talwalkar, the doyen of fitness Industry in India is the Executive Vice President of the IBBF, Shri Prem Chand Degra, Mr. Universe (Padamshree and Arjuna Awardee) along with Shri T.V. Pauly (Arjuna Awardee) are in the Executive Committee of the IBBF.
The IBBF is keen on conducting activities and seminars on varied topics like Anti Doping seminars, goal setting, stress management and the likes for the benefit of athletes and even officials. The Judges clinic for the continuous up-gradation of knowledge of officials in the field of Judges is a regular feature in the yearly calendar of IBBF. With the advent of Physiques sports categories at International level, the reach of IBBF from hardcore bodybuilders to the general public has increased tremendously.
