In this advanced excel tutorial I’ll show you an excellent way to rename multiple worksheets sequentially. Here goes the scenario. I have a worksheet where I have 12 worksheets. I need to rename these worksheets at once and rename them like this Week 1, Week 2, Week 3,….Week 12. Now let’s solve this problem and rename worksheets automatically in excel.

Step 1: Click on the developer tab. If you don’t have the developer tab please check this video:    • The Fastest Way to Add Developer Tab In Excel  
Step 2: Once you have the developer tab click on “Visual Basic”.
Step 3: Now click on “Insert” and Then “Module”.
Step 4: Now write the code an Here is the code for you:   / 99441497  
Step 5: Close the vbe and then run the code from developer tab and then macro and then select and run “RenameWorksheets”.
Step 6: Now a new popup will open; write the base worksheet name. In our case, it is Week.

Done. Now all the worksheets are named according to our name. A sequential number is added to our base name and that becomes our worksheets name.
