Here is my GBA-style cover of Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Mega Man 2.

Originally composed by Takahiro Harada, this theme is one of the most iconic pieces in the entire Mega Man franchise, serving as the opening track of the Wily Castle stages. Its driving rhythm and tense, ascending melody perfectly capture the feeling of storming Dr. Wily’s fortress. For this cover, I specifically used the Mega Man: The Wily Wars arrangement as the foundation, bringing its 16-bit texture into a GBA-style soundscape.

Mega Man 2, known in Japan as Rockman 2: The Mystery of Dr. Wily, is a 1988 video game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was released in Japan in 1988 and in North America and PAL regions the following years. Mega Man 2 continues Mega Man's battle against the evil Dr. Wily and his rogue Robot Masters.


This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this arrangement. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
