Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Former Owners of Iowa Amusement Park

In this video, we cover the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Michael Jaramillo, who tragically died on July 3, 2022, after a horrifying accident on the Raging River ride at Adventureland Park in Iowa. Michael's 15-year-old brother, David, was seriously injured in the incident, and their mother and father were also hurt. Michael died, and David spent weeks in a medically-induced coma after the raft they were riding in flipped over.

The lawsuit alleges that Adventureland improperly fixed the raft with non-manufacturer parts, causing it to fill with water and overturn while the family was buckled in. According to the lawsuit, the family was pulled from the water by a nearby raft passenger and workers who were setting up a fireworks display at the time.

The lawsuit also claims that the fireworks display and a locked gate delayed first responders from reaching the family in a timely manner.
