Romans 14: A Warning for Today's Body of Christ

When conviction produces humility instead of superiority. Romans 14 is not a call to compromise truth, but a call to protect unity. Not a call to silence conviction, but a call to preserve communion. Not a call to weaken holiness, but a call to strengthen love.

For the Church does not belong to us. It belongs to Jesus Christ. He is the head. He is the foundation. He is the builder. He is the Lord. And only when we walk in humility, grace, and unity will the Church reflect the heart of Christ to a dying world.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in humility and surrender, giving You all glory, honor, and praise. Thank You for the gift of Your Church, the body of Christ, purchased by the blood of Jesus. Lord Jesus Christ, return our hearts to You as the center of all things. Teach us to walk in compassion, to speak in love, to stand in truth, and to live in unity. Remove every spirit of pride, comparison, offense, and division from within Your body. Heal what has been broken. Restore what has been wounded. Rebuild what has been divided.

Holy Spirit, guard our hearts, guide our words, and govern our relationships. Teach us to build up and not tear down, to protect faith and not damage it, to pursue peace and not conflict, to reflect Christ and not ourselves. Let Your love flow through us, Your grace cover us, and Your truth anchor us.

Make us one, as You are one.
Keep Christ at the center.
Keep love at the foundation.
Keep unity as our witness.

We surrender Your Church back into Your hands, trusting You as the Head, the Builder, and the Keeper of Your people.
