Описание: This awesome adventure began in the morning on June 6, 2014. The hike started from the overnight backpackers parking lot at Massie Gap, inside Grayson Highlands State Park in Grayson County, Virginia. From the parking lot I took the Appalachian Spur Trail, a connector, to reach the Appalachian Trail. I then hiked the Appalachian Trail in a northbound direction for about 5.5 miles until I reached Scales. Scales was once a livestock trading market. This part of the hike was entirely via the Appalachian Trail, and passed through forested areas as well as the open high meadows.
