Really thought I was going to achieve ace in a flight on this sortie, but I didn't realize until watching the track back that the pilot in the i16 Polikarpov managed to extinguish the fire on his engine and turn around and attack me.
Then underestimated how much energy I had in the airframe while being fixated on the target and ditched into the black sea. Close! but no dice!
