A huge underwater crop circle has been discovered by the Nektons. It’s very detailed in its design. But who built it? When Ant finds a huge, incredibly rare puffer fish nearby, Kaiko deduces that he made the circle as a “nest” to attract a female mate. But they’re interrupted by the arrival of the Dark Orca pirates who are after the gold dust adorning the circle. The Nektons fight them off, but the circle is damaged. Despite Ant’s best efforts, he can’t repair it to sufficient perfection. A female puffer fish initially shows interest, but takes one closer look and departs, unimpressed by the workmanship. Ant is worried. Because the puffer fish has an injured fin, maybe it can never make a perfect nest. Surprising everyone, it’s Smiling Finn who comes up with the idea of making an artificial fin for the fish. Incredibly, it works! The male puffer fish now creates a perfect pattern, and the female lays her eggs there!

The Nekton family are adventurous underwater explorers who live in a state-of-the-art submarine named the Aronnax. The family consists of Antaeus and Fontaine and their parents Will and Kaiko and they seek to unravel the mystery of the oceans depths. The family seek Lemuria, a lost city that they are trying to reclaim. With help from Nereus, their guardian, they seek to pursue the riddle that will take them to Lemuria.

🙋‍♂️ Antaeus 'Ant' Nekton is Nekton's youngest child and the son of Will and Kaiko Nekton. He has a pet fish named Jeffrey. He is adventurous, a believer in all things mythical and paranormal, and is always eager to explore the mysteries of the deep. As the youngest of the Lemurian royal family, he is the "Chosen One" according to Nereus and is able to use various Lemurian devices.

🙋‍♀️ Fontaine Nekton is Ant's older sister. She enjoys winding Ant up in various ways but always looks out for him. Smiling Finn has a crush on her.

👫 Kaiko Nekton is Antaeus and Fontaine's mother. She is shown to have great mechanical engineering skills and often pilots the Aronnax.

👫William 'Will' Nekton is Ant and Fontaine's father. Once an Olympic swimmer, Will is now a passionate oceanographer. Like generations of Nektons before him, Will has devoted his life to uncovering the secrets of the sea.

🐠 Jeffrey is Ant's pet Yellowback Basslet fish and best friend. He was rescued by Ant, who started to follow him. He seems to possess an unusual degree of intelligence and sometimes gets involved in adventures of his own while the Nektons are absent.
