Recipe
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tsp instant coffee
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup cocoa powder for topping
1/2 cup granulated sugar for topping
1/2 cup brown sugar for topping
11/2 cups hot water
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Step 2
In a separate small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup milk, 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Add 3/4 cup granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

In a medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar for the topping. Whisk together.
Step 4
Pour the cobbler batter into an 8×8 inch baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the topping mixture over the batter.
Step 5
Gently pour 11/2 cups of hot water over the entire dish, covering the topping mixture.
Step 6
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is set and the cake layer is cooked through. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving

FAVORITE HOT COCOA TOP OF STOVE 6 SERVINGS:
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup hot water
1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
4 cups milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
• Mix sugar, cocoa, and salt in saucepan; stir in water. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils; boil and stir 2 minutes. Stir in milk and heat. DO NOT BOIL. 4 Remove from heat, add vanilla.
