Derby Then and now : The Cavendish building, Agard Street June 2024 to October 2025

Описание: In this Derby then and now I'm standing on Ford Street (A601) in front of Friargate Studios, I'm looking west down Agard Street at the Cavendish building on the corner of Agard Street and Ford Street.
In the then photograph which I took on Sunday 29th June 2024 you can see the supporting concrete posts that make up the building are in place and they are starting to install the corton-style rust covered metal cladding.
In my Sunday 26th October 2025 photograph taken from the exact same position you can see the building is now completed and open for students.

The Cavendish building is part of the university of Derby and is home to Derby Business school. Its a seven-storey £75 Million net-zero building.

Please note that the Then & now section on my website is currently in need of a revamp as they were all created back in 2005 using Flash and this is no longer supported so I will have to recreate all of my work again using a different method. In the meantime I'm publishing them on my YouTube channel like this one.
