California Mass Exodus | Everyone is leaving the Bay Area, right?

Описание: Have your seen the media headlines about a Mass Exodus from California? When I read those headlines and see comments from people who don't live in California on social media it seems to me much of the country thinks California is deserted. The media headlines do make it sound like buildings are empty, windows are boarded up, and homes are sitting vacant. All of this can't be further from the truth, especially in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Take my area as an example. We have hardly any homes for sale in Livermore and Pleasanton, Tri-Valley East Bay Area. If no one else put their home up for sale we would be without any homes to sell in 2 weeks. Even rentals are extremely difficult to find if you're looking for a basic 3 bedroom 2 bath single family home you better get creative in how you're searching for one. And forget getting picky. Besides there being extremely low inventory, what is available is expensive. Home prices have been increased significantly and currently they are at an all time record high right now.

So, while the media would have you believing Californians are fleeing the state in droves I haven't seen any evidence of it here yet. At least not at any amount of volume to notice any difference. Certainly not enough people have left yet to reduced the amount of traffic on the roads.
