It acts as a chassis reinforcement, removing some flex in the rear portion of your pony, so you enjoy better handling performance. The stiffer the chassis, the more consistently your tires will stay in contact with the road or track, boosting traction and improving handling. While this brace can improve performance some, it makes a bigger impact when combined with other suspension upgrades. You can get this rear shock tower brace with either a black or chrome finish. You can install this part on any 2005 to 2014 Ford Mustang. If you have the Shaker sound system, know this brace won't fit properly.Durable Build. This shock tower brace is made of tubular steel for durability and strength. The black textured powder coat or chrome finish helps seal out corrosion, too. When you pop the trunk, this component is visible, so the finish adds a nice touch that will show well. Straightforward Installation. Installing this shock tower brace is an easy job anyone can successfully tackle. Trimming the trunk liner is required, and you need some wrenches plus the cutting blade. You should set aside about one hour to get the job wrapped up.
