“ In 1974 Island Records dropped The Incredible String Band and Susie Watson-Taylor (our manager at that time), while scouting around for interest from other record companies, came upon Neighborhood Records, owned by Peter Schekeryk (Melanie Safka’s husband), who was keen on the band.
A deal was done and we had started recording in New York when Robin (Williamson) announced he was leaving the band.
The album that would have been ISB’s last was now “Mike Heron’s Reputation”. The first track from those New York sessions was Evie and it was produced by Peter.”
