In a bid to connect the 8 North and South District of the state, Bihar to soon build its first Expressway. This 271 Km Four-Lane expressway is said to primarily connect Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Jaynagar. However, in addition it also connects with two more districts i.e. Patna and Madhubani. Hence, once built, this expressway will connect a total of 8 districts ranging from North to South Bihar. Reportedly officials calling this expressway the North-South Bihar Corridor and in addition to the above 8 districts, this expressway will also ease the transportation of Goods in between Bihar and Nepal. The Land Acquisition committee of the National Highway Authority of India has already approved this expressway and as soon as they issue a notification about the same, the land acquisition work will be started
