Stedman Cinques half-muffled on St Paul's Cathedral bells, London, England immediately following the funeral of Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven, Prime-Minister of the United Kingdom 1979-90.
This recording gives a real flavour of the genuine warmth of the large crowd assembled as claps and cheers can be heard. This clip constitutes twelve minutes of the opening rounds and beginning of the long funeral touch.
The 12 bells were cast in 1878 by Taylor of Loughborough, and the Tenor (heaviest) bell is 62cwt approx in Bb
