This is the first of twenty five lectures on the Gospel of Mark by Dr. Mark Jennings. He teaches at Gordon Conwell Seminary(Wenham, MA). He has a Ph. D. from Marquette University and has written articles on "The Veil and the High Priestly Robes of the Incarnation: Understanding the Context of Heb 10:20," in Perspectives in Religious Studies 31 (2010) 85-97 and "Patronage and Rebuke in Paul's Persuasion in 2 Corinthians 8-9," in the Journal of Greco-Roman Christianity and Judaism 6 (2009) 107-27.
