We needed to replacing an aging core/edge switch at one of our sites, so after a lot of research, we picked the Aruba 5406r zl2. It's modular design and support for PoE and 10Gbit SFP+ ports, at an "affordable" price point made it the ideal choice.
Because I forgot the mention it in the video: The total cost of this set up was £8500 GBP (around $11000 USD).
In the next video we will be uploading a configuration guide - both CLI and GUI to give you an idea of how to configure this unit. We will also be running some basic speed and power usage tests and giving you the figures on those.
Apologies for the poor filming. I had to make this alone, due to COVID-19 and it's quite hard to record and build a system at the same time - especially in the limited space I had available.
