** UPDATE ** The Seagate drive shown will not transfer Assassin's Creed Valhalla so the information from Microsoft if correct. I have tested the games from gamepass with no issues on my Seagate drive. So my honest opinion is that you can install new gen and then older gen on the drive if you can't purchase the SSD straight up.
