The Indian Embassy in Tehran confirmed the incident, saying the vessel, DISHA, was attacked earlier in the day and that it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the Iranian authorities. The Embassy said the tanker has 28 Indian nationals on board and confirmed that all crew members are safe. “The vessel has 28 Indian crew members on board. The Embassy has been in close contact with the relevant authorities and has confirmed that all Indian crew members are safe," it added.
