Hiya my name is James Whitham and I'm down at Reactive Parts.

We're going to talk about LighTech crash protection. You ride a bike sometimes occasionally don't want to, but you slide off. If you do, these fellas will save you lots of time and expense putting your bike back together again.

What we got? Well these are for a Yamaha R1 but they're available for all models. That is a clutch actuation protection unit. That's solid aluminium. That isn't nylon, it looks like it is but its anodised aluminium - that's solid. That is engine case cover, that's ignition case cover.

Next up, this is a cash mushroom. You've seen it before it's normally a big lump of solid nylon, these are a little bit more technical because the old ones, the nylon hit the floor it ripped back, there was no shock absorption and it sometimes did more harm than ever did good because it could bend your balls, bend your frame, crack your casings on your engine.

These are different. Three parts - nylon outer, that's the bit that hits the floor, slides along. Rubber inner, that's a shock absorber to take all the sting out the actual bang when the bike hits the floor and a solid aluminium base unit that bolts to your bike. Really well thought out and very effective.

Lastly, these are axle protection bobbins, in actual fact I would call them spindle protection bobbins because they bolt straight through your front and your rear spindle. Reason you'd need these is because sometimes when the bike hits the floor the first component to hit the floor would be swingarm or fork. That will stop that happening because that will hit the floor first lift the spindle off the floor jobs done.
