Open and talent rejoin from the 10pm newscast on Nexstar's CBS affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Recorded on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
On Tuesday, the station changed their voiceover from Rob Naughton (who is such an underrated voice talent) to Corey Candray. This is due to a new company directive to use lower-cost voiceover talent from SpotVoice, of which Candray is part of.
Naughton had previously been the voice of KRQE for about 13 years, and did a couple other former LIN stations as well. For now, he can continue to be heard in promos as well as the talent bumps. The opens were changed mainly due to KRQE rebranding its Fox channel to "FOX 505" which also occurred in the past couple days.
Graphics and music (CBS_01 and "Locals Only" from Stephen Arnold Music) remain the same. KRQE continues to hang on to "This Is Your News" for the tease as well.
