Loose-lead walking should feel relaxed for both you and your dog, and this training method helps you build that effortless, connected walk.

Instead of relying on talking, commands or tension on the lead, we focus on your dog choosing to follow you. One step backwards… change direction… stop… start — each movement becomes a question: “Are you with me?” When your dog makes the right choice, you mark and reward. Over time, this creates a strong habit of voluntary engagement and attention, without verbal cues.

You’ll see exactly how to:
• Take 1–2 steps and reward when your dog follows
• Add more steps and change direction smoothly
• Avoid luring or dragging with the lead
• Teach natural loose-lead walking through patterns and repetition
