Example of an effective way to remove the corrosive Sony glue from old PCBs.
Keep in mind that doing this in front of the camera handicaps the process a bit but directionally I am hoping this provides a good idea of what’s required.
Minor correction: I stated that no Sony in the 1970 used glass-fiver PCBs and I have to take that back. I remember that my TA-N9s have glass-glass fiber PCBs just as those in the Stax and Yamaha B1s and few other TOTL gear of that era.
The video quality for some reason is quite low due to a file conversion issue. Unfortunately I do not have another board with glue at this time to reshoot the video now. Maybe I will make a different video at a later time.
