Matt Pike Custom Black Arts Toneworks Green Rabid Mammal

The Matt Pike Custom Black Arts Toneworks Green Rabid Mammal is a combination Boost and Fuzz which consists of two separate circuits which compliment and push your tone in two different directions.

The Boost function will add a bunch of treble and upper mids. Controls are: Treble and Volume.

The Fuzz function will add a bunch of low mids and and a foggy lowend with a somewhat loose sludgy feel. Controls are : Volume, Fuzz, Tone, High, Pre (input gain), and a toggle for Led or Mosfet clipping.

Switching is independent and true bypass.

This limited custom run of 25 Green Powdercoat pedals were built to replicate the Custom Rabid Mammal on Matt's pedalboard from the most recent Sleep shows. Stock Rabid Mammal settings on the toggles are the UP position, while Matt’s modded settings are accessed with the toggles in the DOWN position. This green version was not actually a full production model, but does form the basis for the v2 Rabid Mammal that is currently under development.

So the modifications to the standard Rabid Mammal are:

Low Gain switch on the boost. - This allows for a thinner less compressed boost
Tone Control shift. - This allows for a mid scoop, and both the Tone and High controls access alternate voicings.
High Control shift. - This allows for a deeper mid scoop while accenting the highs

The killer artwork on this pedal was put together by Matt and his wife Alyssa.
