Another Low Pressure Likely in August | IMD Predicts Fresh Weather System Over Bay of Bengal

Описание: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated the possibility of another low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal during August 9–10, according to its extended range forecast.

As per the forecast, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the northwest Bay of Bengal near the North Odisha coast around August 7 or 8. Under its influence, a low-pressure area may form in the same region a day or two later.

Similar weather systems that developed over this region in July brought widespread rainfall across Odisha. However, the IMD has stated that the exact track, intensity, and impact of the upcoming system are yet to be determined.
