This video shows the correct, easy way to replace the oil cooler in the 2013 Nissan Altima with the 2.5 4 cyl engine. Other 4 cyl Nissan models are also similar. the amount of time it would take you to fight with the spring compression hose clamps to remove them from the oil cooler AND reattach the hoses and clamps to the new oil cooler you could simply do it the way I do it in the video. Draining the coolant, removing the air cleaner assembly to expose the oil cooler coolant lines, where they connect to the heater/thermostat hoses, took me less than 20 min. It might seem like more work but it could save you a lot more time as you have limited space to work. It is best to disconnect the oil cooler coolant hoses from the heater/thermostat assembly, leave them connected to the oil cooler, loosen and remove the oil cooler hoses and all. Note how the hoses are attached to the oil cooler, making sure the direction is the same when removing the hoses and attaching to the new oil cooler. I recommend using worm gear screw clamps on each end of both hoses to replace the stock spring clamps.
