Описание: The Art Of Timothy Alberts, with Michael Canadas. We join Michael to discuss the work of Emmy award winning costumer Timothy Alberts. Alberts, a costumer for stage and screen also made a limited quantity of doll clothes including the Premier line for the Gene Marshall dolls. Michael presents a group of costume prototypes created by Alberts and gifted to the Grovian Doll Museum. Entitled "The Pompadour Collection," the 18th Century inspired costumes were originally designed for the reissue of the 1950’s Madame Alexander 21” Cissy doll and were displayed at Toy Fair in New York City in 2001. We discuss the fine fabrics used in the costumes as well as the expert design and tailoring. Michael discusses the process of a prototype becoming a costume. We explore a lavish sacque back dress, a colonial style gentleman’s costume, an elaborate ladies riding costume, a trained court presentation dress that could also serve as a wedding dress and a romantic country inspired costume. Alberts also styled the saran wigs and created the incredible court shoes worn by the dolls.
