#HeAtaata Following the confirmation of 15-year-old Max Furse-Kee being one out of the six landslide victims, Te Wharekura o Mauao tauira, Te Whei Ao Harris expressed her desire to support the affected families by attending the vigil. Harris said she felt a deep sense of sadness for the 15-year-old’s family and wished to offer them comfort at this time. Te Haukakawa Te Rire, an elder from Kawerau also arrive to attend the vigil to show support that no matter who or where you are from, Maaori will always be there to look after one another.
