Final Fantasy XVI - Ryzen 7 5700X & RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB - FPS Test and Settings

Today we’re testing the full version of Final Fantasy XVI, on the Ryzen 7 5700X and Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB.

Here are my current PC specs:

-CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull).
-Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.
-GPU: Zotac Twin Edge 5060 Ti 16 GB, 0.975V|+375 MHz Core|+2000 MHz Mem UnderVolt, WHQL driver 581.80.
-RAM: Kingston Fury Renegade RGB 32 GB (2x16 Dual Rank each), CL16 DDR4@3600 MT/s.
-Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S. and game), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB.
-Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2x140 Front, 1x120 Lower Front - Exhaust: 1x140 Rear, 1x120 Top/VRM Area).
-PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold.
-O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.22H2).
-Main Monitor: LG UltraGear 27GP850-B - 1440p@180 Hz
-Secondary Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p@240Hz (may sometimes be used as main)
-ReBAR ON (BIOS, etc.) but OFF in Driver by Default for this game.
-HAGS ON.
-DSR uses 33% Smoothing

I’ve already covered the FFXVI Demo on my 3060 Ti, back in 2024 when they released it and it was an okay experience, the game could do with some polishing touches, back then, and now here we are in November 2025 with the Full Version of the game.

With my 5060 Ti 16 GB now, new opportunities open up, to test higher resolutions, we also have DLSS 4 with the Transformer Model now, and even we can Override the same transformer model for Frame Generation, and make it become Multi Frame Generation (MFG) by using the Nvidia App, with a simple click.

As per usual, I do various side by side comparisons, in some of them even including PC Latency data.

This game benefits greatly from Lyall’s FFXVIFix, in order to unlock the Cutscenes, or cap them at any frame-rate we want, but also to make FG work within those scenes, most at least.

All in all, FFXVI runs quite decently on my 5060 Ti now, still has some odd motion ghosting issues, likely inherent to the custom engine used and its temporal solutions, not much I can do about that, I think.
