La Boqueria is the single best "open air" market I've ever been to. Located at La Rambla 89, it is easy to find. Ask anyone or just follow the buzz. The path is well worn - some say a market has been running in that spot for 800 years. The entire covered spectacle is divided into rough sections - casually - like everything else in Spain. You can sit and one of the many mini tapas stands and eat - but for us the the star was the market proper.
Barcelona is very friendly to tourists, but do your best to let the locals shop.
This is a must in Barcelona. I wouldn't call it street food. Just food near the street. Get there if you can.
