Meridian State Park, a rather small park, is located about 50 miles northwest of Waco, and about an hour and a half from Fort Worth. The park has 40 total campsites. Eight are pull through sites with full hook ups. Six sites have water and electricity, but no RVs longer than 19' are allowed in those.
Eight sites are primitive with no potable water in the area. Fifteen screened shelters are in the park, and three cabins are also there.

We will go ahead and mention that Meridian State Park has a group site which will accommodate 49 people. It has a kitchen with electricity, coffee pot, microwave, a bathroom, AC/heat, a commercial refrigerator, and 2 gas stoves. Outside there are a patio with a barbecue grill, two picnic tables, eight folding tables, and 49 chairs.

One of the big draws of Meridian State Park is its lake. The lake is contained within the park, and the reason that matters is fishing size and bag limits in the park may differ from those in other lakes. The park does have a tip sheet with those limits. Ask for one before you fish. Although Texas has been in a terrible drought, we have had some much needed and welcome rains this spring; however, when we were at the park in January, both the boat ramp and the fishing pier were closed due to low lake levels. We suggest you call and ask about the ramp before you tow a boat to Meridian.
