What is European dream of the future? What kind of soft power can be used to unite Europe?
I raised this question to Andrej Plenković, Jens Stoltenberg, Priti Patel and Franziska Brantner at the Munich Security Conference 2026.
I always had an impresssion that In Ukraine we speak about Europe more then inside many European states. But recently, I witness an existential shift in Europe’s identity unfolding in real time. Europe is awakening and becoming more united than ever.
There is no soft power without hard power. Europe’s influence lies in joint initiatives, the defense of democracy, and genuine collaboration. Solidarity runs through European policy — and it may be the most important value holding us together. It’s also a strength the EU shares with Ukraine as we shape a common future.
